A wonderfully insightful review from Lovin' Me Some Romance!
An endless well of emotional complexities, THE LONE WARRIOR is a soulful epic destined to leave you breathless. Fearless in every way, Denise Rossetti tackles two incredibly multifaceted characters, gifting them the time and space to grow believably into themselves and their love.
Mehcredi's innocence gifts both Walker and the reader with the chance to relive human emotions that we take for granted such as anger, guilt, desire and love. These are not unfamiliar to the reader but to Mehcredi they are and to re-experience the impact of what makes us human is exhilarating. And Rossetti doesn't short change this pairing. She dedicates nearly every word to Walker's and Mehcredi's character development. No question lay unanswered, no dilemma unresolved leaving the reader to close the book with a sigh.

From Rosie at Fangbooks...
This is a fantasy that is sure to entice you with its blend of magic, danger, suffering and wit. Above all this is the story of the last Shar, Walker, a shaman with a deep connection to the earth but alienated from everyone around him, and that of Mehcredi, abandoned at birth but determined to survive. Theirs is an emotional journey as well as a quest to find meaning. Frankly...I loved them both!
If you're looking for a fantasy romance with a hero you'll adore and a heroine who'll entrance, with a good dollop of danger, magic and intrigue, then this will be perfect adventure...

A glowing review from Romantic Times!
In this poignant story about the rise of a young woman who suffered injustice, Rossetti’s heroine is thoroughly captivating. You’ll want her to get everything in life that she wants and deserves. And for the paranormal romance lovers who are as serous about worldbuilding and imagination as they are about romance, The Lone Warrior will not disappoint.

An excerpt from The Lone Warrior!
Walker and Mehcredi's story has made it through edits and copy edits, so now I can give you a glimpse of two characters I grew to love more and more.
I adore the dynamic between them. Walker is so damaged, so closed off and cold. He's deadly. Any 'normal' person would respect the warning signs, but not Mehcredi. She has no concept of human relationships, no reserve, no fears, and she boldly walked through Walker’s barriers as if they were mist. Poor man, his reactions were priceless!

The Flame and the Shadow is a Recommended Read from Two Lips Reviews
There is magic, love, and plenty of angst to keep you turning the pages. This novel would make any lover of fantasy and magic cheer. I loved it and didn’t want it to end. The electricity between Cenda and Grayson is off the charts and will keep you wanting more of them! When you want a love story that is magical and one you won’t want to put down, you want The Flame and the Shadow.

Thief of Light is one of those amazing books that comes along very rarely. Ms. Rossetti has crafted a unique world and culture, and filled it with complex, wonderful characters that draw you in and won't let you go. This is complex world-building and enthralling story-telling at its best.
Prue is a wonderful heroine — human as she hides from past pains, yet stronger than she ever believed when she needs to be. Erik is a wounded hero that calls out for love — blessed with a divine gift, he has maintained his humanity in the face of what has been unbearable temptation. Together they are one of my favorite romantic couples.
All in all an extraordinary tale. I highly recommend this book to all lovers of romance and space opera.

Five Hearts from The Romance Studio for Thief of Light!
...wonderfully drawn, real characters that readers can relate to. The sexual tension between them ratchets up as they both struggle with their attraction. When they eventually succumb, their encounters burn up the pages while also warming the heart with the tenderness that blossoms between them.
Denise Rossetti does a wonderful job of keeping the relationship between Erik and Prue the central focus of the book even as she weaves in the overarching plot that ties it to the first book in the series. The sense of menace is felt throughout the story and will keep readers on edge as it draws closer to Erik and Prue. Though the ending is completely satisfying, there are some aspects of the plot that seem unresolved and will leave readers anxious to get their hands on the next book in the series. This is one book, and series, I recommend whole heartedly to anyone who wants a little fantasy and magic woven into their romance.

Top Pick from Night Owl Reviews for Laced with Desire!
Laced with Desire gives you four choices to fulfill your sensual sexual desires and all of them are yummy good. Written by some of the best authors in this genre, you get a great taste of their writing style and some wonderful stories that will keep you warm on a cold winter’s night.
Dancer giving Rhio glimpses at her real self and not the persona she puts on as a slave was pure delight. This was a fantasy story mixed well with erotic romance.
I strongly recommend Laced with Desire. Any one of these stories would be worth the cost of the book. The authors do an outstanding job. Not one of these stories is like another in this book and they showcase their little nitch well. Besides I can’t think of a better way to spend a lazy day than to read about alpha males, hot sex and interesting place.

Five Kisses from Two Lips for Thief of Light!
...a fascinating read that I had a hard time putting down. The character of Erik had me cheering for him from page one. When you want a beautiful love story with characters that make you want more, read Thief of Light. I for one would love to read more books like this from Ms. Rossetti! Thief of the Light will be on my keeper shelf for sure. This novel is the second in the Four Sided Pentacle series but can be read alone and enjoyed completely.

Another lovely review for Thief of Light!
This sequel is just as magical and enticing as The Flame and the Shadow with its science fiction flare, futuristic drama and depth of characters readers love. This is another piece of the puzzle Rossetti has placed before us. In my opinion, the wait is too long in between these stories. I am anxious to read the next part in this fabulous story arc.

Hussy Approved Reading Material from Vamp Fan Girl - woohoo, a true badge of honour! VFG must be all Rossetti-ed out by now, poor thing. She's done me proud.
THE FLAME AND THE SHADOW:
A story filled with betrayal, flaring passion, corroding deceit with the end of the day being saved by the truest form of love. Gray encompasses nearly all my favorite hero attributes. He's dark and dangerous. Skillful and passionate and when the right woman finally comes along, he'll risk his very life to see her happy. Sigh... You become immersed in an incredibly beautiful and fascinating land. An exhilarating and passionate read, one that I most definitely recommend especially if you like your romance on the steamy side.
RUBIES AND BLACK VELVET (UNLACED ANTHOLOGY):
This novella was brimming not only with burning eroticism, but also with an emotional intensity that had me clinging desperately to the book to discover what was to happen next. The deadliness of corset was actually incredibly fascinating and lent a magical and sinister air to the novella. Its danger to Meg and John is believable as well as their struggle to defeat it. And once again an author has shown that love can conquer all, even a demon corset.
THIEF OF LIGHT:
Once again I was ensnared by the beauty Rossetti created with seeming ease, although I'm sure it was a labor of love. Colors exploded in my mind's eye and the landscape left me in absolute awe. I'm still more than curious to discover who might be the witches or wizards that are gifted with water and earth and if good will win over evil.
Dear Reader,
My favourite instrument is the human voice. Speaking, singing, reading, laughing - whatever. I'm intrigued by telephone conversations, the way we communicate without the added dimension of body language. Even if it's a telemarketer, my intuition is running wild, trying to imagine what the person on the other end looks like, what they're wearing, feeling, thinking. I love regional accents, salty slang, bass baritones and interesting intonations. Your voice is such an integral part of the person you are. Think about it - whether it's a husky contralto, a southern drawl, a teasing brogue or a tinkling falsetto - your voice presents you to the world. A deep velvet baritone reduces me to a hormonal puddle. I'm in awe of Stephen Fry's artistry in the [British version of the] Harry Potter audiobooks, while Alan Rickman could read me the phone book as a bedtime story. So I couldn't help but wonder: What if a man's voice were a gift bestowed by the gods, so beguiling no one could resist it? What would he do with such fantastic power? How would it affect his personality, especially his moral character? Enter Erik Thorensen. On the outside, big, blond and oh-so-charming - but inside, a man fighting a grim battle against constant temptation. His Voice is an instrument of incredible pleasure, the stroke of velvet on bare skin. But the gods' gift is a curse as much as a blessing, for once Erik used it to steal a soul, and now he must pay. Prue is the business manager for the beautiful courtesans of the Garden of Nocturnal Delights. She deals in numbers, not Magick, and when Erik turns his charms in her direction, she sees only a performer's vanity. How is it she can resist what others can't? She's either a torment devised by the gods to drive him mad - or Erik's last hope of salvation. Some desires are impossible to resist... I do hope you enjoy Erik and Prue's story. Warmest Wishes, Denise Rossetti |

Romantic Times reviews Thief of Light! Woohoo! *happy dancing at Rossetti Towers*
This stand-out novel pulls readers into a steamy romance with a fun plot. Eccentric enough in its otherworldly setting to be enjoyed from a fantasy standpoint, on a romantic level the chemistry between the easily likable main characters is sizzling and realistic. Rossetti paints a vivid picture that truly allows readers to escape. 4 Stars

A wonderful review for Strongman from Joan/Sarah F. at Dear Author. I love it when someone "gets" what I'm trying to do. This reviewer did.
The romance is most beautifully perfectly done. Each step in their relationship reveals more about the individuals, where they come from, who they are, why their partner attracts them, and what they're going to do about it. The focus of the story is mainly Fort's journey and I just fell in love with him as he fell in love with Griff but had to push himself to accept it.
The sex, by the way, was amazing. Fort is the title's "Strongman," but Griff is a tumbler and can give as good as he gets. Evenly matched, each sexual encounter is a fight for dominance and it's hot and fascinating and each scene is integral to both plot and character development. B+

STRONGMAN won!
IT WON, IT WON!
First place in the Futuristic/Fantasy/SciFI section of the Passionate Plume Awards for erotic authors.
Think I'm happy much? *grin* I feel like a dog with two tails and I'm waggin' 'em both. I'd be delighted to win the Passionate Plume any old time, but this one's special. For two reasons - firstly, Tailspin won the same award last year. That's twice in a row! Go me!
Secondly, Strongman is a male/male erotic romance. I'd wondered how it would fare in an open contest. Interesting, isn't it? I've always considered that love is love is love - regardless of the skin-suits the people are wearing.
Sadly, I wasn't able to attend the Passionate Ink party this time. Last year's effort in the US and Canada pretty well broke the back of the Rossetti budget. Ah well.
Winners receive a gorgeous silver charm in the shape of an inkpot and quill (passionate ink, geddit?) Mine lives on the charm bracelet I wear every day. Oh me, oh my, now I get a pair. *happy, happy dancing*

STRONGMAN is a finalist in the Futuristic/Fantasy/SciFI section of the Passionate Plume Awards for erotic authors.
It's hard to express just how delighted I am about that. Because, you see, Tailspin won the award last year, so I kind of thought I'd done my dash with the Passionate Plume. Also, Strongman is male/male erotic romance and that's not to everyone's taste.

The Flame and the Shadow has been garnering some wonderful reviews.
I couldn't put it down...darkly intense, warmly romantic, and blazingly erotic.
Barbara Vey's Beyond her Book at Publisher's Weekly![]()
A dark erotic tale, satisfying on many levels...enjoy the rich development of this fantastic world and its characters, sharing their amusement and passion while squirming at the chilling horrors they face.
Cenda is endearing as the unlikely heroine and Gray is deliciously wicked as the antihero with a mysterious dark side.
Paranormal Romance Reviews![]()
A riveting tale of passion and pain, magic and mayhem. I was bound to the book by the detailed imagery and sheer writing genius. Denise Rossetti delivered a spectacular first mainstream fantasy novel, and will soon be soaring with Anne Bishop and the like.

Vote for TAILSPIN as 2008 Book Cover of the Year!
You may recall that in last year's competition, Mr Gorgeous (aka the cover of Gift of the Goddess) was pipped at the post by a pod of whales - admittedly a particularly attractive group of cetaceans, but still... You can read all about the crushing disappointment here. I'd really like to do better this time!
Voting is simple, and the instructions are on the voting page right here. Every voter will be entered in a drawing for the winning title. Not too shabby!
Voting closes on April 15. I'll remind you! Click the small image on the right to see it full size.

For Erotic Anthology of the Year. Isn't that great? *beams* It totally made my day. Just goes to show what happens when you team up with a group of fabulous authors like the J-girls.
