Bracelet Feb 2008

The Charm Bracelet, February 2008

From the left (ie, most recent): The Big Top for Strongman; the digger's hat for Coming on Strong; a dollar sign for the deal with Berkley (mercenary creature, ain't I? heh heh); the tragedy/comedy masks for Come Howling, which was the best I could do for a banshee - I decided they were Before and After for Maeve; Mirry's Encyclopedia for Tailspin; a dragon for Gift of the Goddess; a heart-shaped clasp for romance in general.

The "Books" Charm Bracelet

From the left (ie, most recent): The mystery charm for Coming on Strong; a dollar sign for the deal with Berkley (mercenary creature, ain't I? heh heh); the tragedy/comedy masks for Come Howling, which was the best I could do for a banshee - I decided they were Before and After for Maeve; Mirry's Encyclopedia for Tailspin; a dragon for Gift of the Goddess; a heart-shaped clasp for romance in general.

Denise's Study
I've kind of cleaned up, so it generally looks worse than this. The book on the desk is about old ships, one of those cross-section books for kids. Which gives you some idea of the depth of my research. *grin*
Study window
The view out of the window is straight into the canopy of a big tree. Oh yeah, and as a florist, I make a terrific writer.

Nathrach the Purple...

is the gift my fabulous critique group gave me to celebrate the release of Gift of the Goddess. Wonder why they chose a dragon? *LOL* He (I'm sure it's a he) is iridescent purple. Every detail is so beautifully executed, every scale and ridge. He has gold trim on his horns, his wings, even his talons! The statuette is enamelled pewter, so it's deliciously heavy. You can't see it here, but all down the back of his neck are tiny crystals. The photo doesn't really do him justice. Love him to bits. *happy sigh*
And here, of course, we have the real master of the household, who came to investigate. His name is Merlin, because he's a great enchanter.
