Posted by Denise on June 18, 2009 under Lust Objects, TV/Movies/Music

I’m not going to spoil your pleasure by dropping hints, but this is just wonderful. What wicked fun! Enjoy, my dears!

Sigh… They don’t make ‘em like they used to - or do they? Heh heh.

  1. Holly Said,

Holy crap…that was glorious. Thanks for this on a rainy day in New England!

  2. Alison Said,

    Great link. Thanks

Now can someone identify all the films for me…

I got the two Pride and Prejudices and Sense and Sensibility but missed a lot of the others especially the one set in the desert?

I do need to get some ironing done, so I might visit my local Video store when I get the answers.

Missed seeing Mark Strong as Mr Knightley in the TV adaptation of Emma. Yum.

  3. Holly Said,

    Alison,

I can’t name them all, but you can find the dishy goodness that is Richard Armitage in “North and South.” That scene in the train station was so swoon-worthy…

  4. Danielle Ferries Said,

Love it! I love that dishy Henry Tilney in Northanger Abbey and of course there’s Mr Darcy (Colin Firth in the BBC version of course. There is no other).

  5. Meg Said,

    nice. ;)

  6. Janet H Said,

    Denise,

    OH YEAH!

  7. Malvina Said,

Nice… can anyone identify all the films? I truly want to watch them all!

  8. mary de Said,

What a sweetheart you are to share this on a rainy afternoon. I’d love to know more of the names too. As I clicked on the trailer shots at the bottom it came up with,
Period drama Montage.- Recency Men- Jane austen’s boys- The scarlet Pimpernel - Jane austen’s couples- sense and sensability- memories- under the greenwood tree- Jane Eyre?
but don’t think all these were movie tiltes. are they the recording groups?do you think

  9. Dani Said,

Oh, I love this! There are quite a few of my favorite men in it too.

  10. Alison (aka the Badger) Said,

Hurrmph, hurrmph, hurrmph! I was hoping some nice poster might save me the bother, but hurrmph, hurrmph, hurrmph seems like I have to claw my way out of my warm dry badger hole and go searching myself and it’s raining! Not impressed.

    Tap, tap, tap, thump
    Yes, yes, yes. OK
Whoever tied my badger hole to that Rossetti woman’s landline needs spiflikating!
Oh well, seeing you’ve been good little posters. Here it is:

Amazing Grace 2006 - Ioun Gruffudd

Casanova 2005 (TV Mini Series) - David Tennant

Emma 1996 - Jeremy Northam (The TV one with Mr Strong was in wide definition and she couldn’t include it - sigh)

NorthAnger Abbey 2007 (TV) - JJ Feild

North & South 2004 (TV) - Richard Armitage

Persuasion 2007 (TV) - Rupert Penry Jones

Pride & Prejudice 1995, 2005 - Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen

Sense & Sensibility 1996, 2008 (TV) - Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant; David Morrissey, Dan Stevens

The Shadow in the North 2007 - Jarred Harris or is it David Harwood (? never seen it so assume he is person included) at 2:34 mark.

Wives & Daughters 1999 (TV) - Anthony Howell (with fishing rod)

Can I go back to sleep now?

  11. mary de Said,

 Oh thank-you most enlightened, selfless and respected one for sharing. enjoy your siesta

  12. Malvina Said,

My wish list at the DVD store just got longer! Thankyou dear Badger…

  13. Eleni Konstantine Said,

    Love it!

  14. Denise Said,

I just knew you all would LOVE it!   I think I particularly like the juxtaposition of the sexy rock of “Raining Men” with all those frightfully proper manners barely concealing the hot lurve roiling beneath the surface. *sigh*

My lord, they are all so incredibly INTENSE, aren’t they? I remember hearing Stephanie Laurens speak at an RWAutralia conference a few years ago about what makes a true hero. One of the qualities was passion (not just sexual, but for life, a purpose). These guys have passion in spades.

Malvina, you said it, Thank you, dear Badger (aka Alison). That was lovely of you. Now we know. Is the desert one Shadow in the North?

  15. Alison (aka the Badger) Said,

Apparently it is Denise. I haven’t seen it though. Not sure if it is available in OZ.

I rented a few of the others I haven’t seen. Now to watch them…..
